CX Artists Series is a unique artistic event created by members of the Converse All Stars team in cooperation with Converse Poland. It is the first exhibition of this kind in Europe and the second one in the world. Just as during the first edition, which took place in Sydney, Australia, young artists with different backgrounds in the visual arts had exactly one week to arrange the space and organise the exhibition.
Our curatorial group consisting of: Wojtek Dudziński, Jagna Sapała, Janek Kuśmirski and Zuza Ziętek joined forces to create together a unique artistic event of an unprecedented character.
The starting point for working on the exhibition was the word "comfort". Together, we thought about what it means to us and how we would like to present it visually. We decided to create a space of freedom, where everyone can relax and feel at ease. Our works presented in the exhibition refer to what inspires us and how we personally interpret the slogan "comfort of creation". People, travel, nature and everyday life are the main themes we present.
In addition to the exhibition, we have created art installations together. The comfort room is meant to be an oasis of peace and security. The pink tunnel is intended to allow a direct experience of comfort through sensory impressions.
In the All Stars zone, we present the people working within the Converse All Stars programme and the projects we have managed to realise together. We want to present the idea behind our cooperation with Converse and our joint involvement in important and current social issues.
